About Us
Little Dreams Free Learning Space is a registered charitable organization in Hong Kong dedicated to providing free tutoring services to financially disadvantaged students. We are committed to educational equity and excellence. To further enhance our programme quality and pedagogical research, we are now seeking a highly qualified Experimental Officer to lead curriculum innovation, teaching methodology research, and teacher training initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and evaluate experimental teaching methodologies for English language instruction, focusing on secondary school curriculum.
- Conduct evidence‑based research to improve tutoring effectiveness and learning outcomes.
- Develop assessment tools and performance metrics for both students and volunteer tutors.
- Lead professional development workshops and training sessions for volunteer teachers.
- Collaborate with the management team to align teaching strategies with the Organization’s charitable objectives.
- Prepare research reports, grant proposals, and academic publications as required.
Essential Qualifications & Experience
Teaching Experience
Minimum 10 years of full‑time English language teaching experience in a local secondary government school or aided school in Hong Kong.
Academic Degrees
A recognized master’s degree or PhD degree from a top‑ranked, recognized university
Teacher Training Qualification
A Postgraduate Diploma in Education (PGDE) in English (Secondary) obtained from a top‑ranked university in Hong Kong.
(LPAT) – English
Attained Level 5 in ALL five core papers of the LPAT (English): Reading, Writing, Listening, Speaking and Classroom Language Assessment
* Applicants who have not achieved Level 5 in any of the above subjects will not be considered.
Other Requirements
Strong analytical and research skills, with proven ability to conduct classroom‑based or experimental studies.
- Excellent command of written and spoken English (native or near‑native proficiency).
- Familiarity with the local secondary school curriculum, public examinations (HKDSE), and current pedagogical trends.
- Commitment to the mission of free education for underprivileged students.
