The recent incident in your community has deeply touched the hearts of every one of our team members. During this difficult time, we understand that you and your children may be facing uncertainty and stress. Please allow us to reach out and tell you—Little Dreams Free Learning Space is here with you.
Education is not just about imparting knowledge; it is about lighting a steady lamp for children when storms arrive. To this end, we have officially established a “Crisis Response Team” today (28 November), personally appointed by our Chief Executive, with four esteemed community members—Dr. Jessica Kwan, Mr. Francis Cheung, Mrs. Flora Cheung, and Dr. Mabel Chan—joining the team. They will be responsible for coordinating and leading free academic support services for all affected blocks, providing continuous follow-up on students’ learning needs for this academic year and the next six months.
We promise: Within one hour of receiving your request for help, we will assign a dedicated volunteer teacher to contact you based on the block where your child resides.
Our Support Arrangements Are As Follows:
1. Dedicated Liaison Teachers, Zoned Care
We have arranged for experienced volunteer teachers to be responsible for specific zones, ensuring every child receives immediate and attentive care:
– Wang Yan Court (Block A) & Wang To House (Block B)
Liaison Teacher: Dr. Jessica Kwan– Wang Sun House (Block C) & Wang Kin House (Block D)
Liaison Teacher: Mrs. Flora Cheung– Wang Tai House (Block E) & Wang Cheung House (Block F)
Liaison Teacher: Dr. Mabel Chan– Wang Shing House (Block G) & Wang Chi House (Block H)
Liaison Teacher: Mr. Francis Cheung
2. Free Educational Psychologist Service
We understand that children may need emotional companionship and guidance. Therefore, we are specifically providing a free educational psychologist counselling service, where professional psychologists will listen attentively and guide gently, helping children settle their hearts and minds.
3. Simplified Process, Immediate Support
To ease your burden, we are activating a green channel:
– No waiting list, priority arrangement
– Only the Disaster Victim Certificate issued by the Hong Kong Social Welfare Department is required; no additional proof of financial status is needed
– Free tutoring can begin the day after application
We hope to support children in returning to their learning journey in the most direct way possible.
